Premier showing of John Fahey doc this Friday



Catch the debut of this documentary about legendary Takoma-based guitar hero and adulation subject John Fahey.

Here's the info:

In celebration of the completion of the newly renovated auditorium,
the City, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Commission, the
Recreation Committee, and the Friends of the Library, will be hosting
a series of free events beginning Friday, May 7 at 7 p.m. with the
premier showing of the documentary, "The Legend of John Fahey." The film maker, Marc Minsker, will be present to answer questions,
accompanied by Peter Lang, Fahey's protégée and an accomplished
acoustic guitarist. Lang will give a musical performance.

This is a free event, but tickets are required as space is limited.

Tickets may be picked up between 8:30 am and 10:00 pm at the Takoma Park Community Center - 7500 Maple Avenue - Takoma Park, MD, which is where the event will take place.
